HIM To Release Limited-Edition Box Set Plus Four Deluxe Titles

Finnish "love" metallers HIM will release a limited-edition box set, "Lashes To Ashes, Lust To Dust: A Vinyl Retrospective '96-'03", on November 25 via The End. The box set includes the rare debut 1996 EP "666 Ways To Love: Prologue" on 180-gram heavyweight vinyl for the first time ever, along with an exclusive Heartagram logo slipmat and a USB drive with 37 bonus tracks, 80 tracks all together, all remastered. Also being released on November 25 are four of HIM's iconic albums, "Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666", "Razorblade Romance", "Deep Shadows And Brilliant Highlights" and "Love Metal", in multiple configurations, all remastered with bonus tracks, exclusive liner notes, and special packaging.

"We feel truly blessed to have our sonic offspring of yore being given a new lease of life in the U.S. by The End Records, the home for many of our aural idols, both old and new," said HIM frontman Ville Valo.

"For the past months, the infamous Love Metal archives have been extensively scoured by us for rare, exclusive and downright scary musical nuggets for an experience in Finnish melancholy like no other, so please consider yourself warned…"

In support of the deluxe remastered releases, HIM will embark on a U.S. tour in December. Confirmed dates are as follows:

HIM's latest album, "Tears On Tape", sold 20,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 15 on The Billboard 200 chart.

"Tears On Tape" was released on April 30, 2013 via Razor & Tie in North America and on April 29, 2013 through DoubleCross (Cooking Vinyl's specialist rock imprint) in the U.K. and Ireland. The "love metal" act's eighth official album was recorded at Helsinki's Finnvox Studios with longtime producer Hiili Hiilesmaa (APOCALYPTICA, AMORPHIS, MOONSPELL) and was mixed in London, England by Tim Palmer, who previously helmed 2005's "Dark Light" and 2007's "Venus Doom".

HIM has been a band for 23 years, releasing eight studio albums to date, of which their fifth LP, "Dark Light", was certified gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America),making them the first Finnish rock band to have a gold album in the United States. They have had five of their studio albums certified platinum in Finland, with "Razorblade Romance" being certified double platinum in Finland and platinum in Germany.
